The Forties Formula Comes to Life at Atelier V&A

Thursday 3 September, 6:30–8:30 PM | Atelier V&A, 81 Kaki Bukit Avenue 1, #Level 2, Singapore 417953

There are conversations we have in the car, on a walk, in the fifteen minutes before the house wakes up. And then there are the ones worth putting on a dress for.

This September, we're hosting one of the latter.

We are excited to open our showroom for a live recording of The Forties Formula, the podcast dedicated to how women navigate wellbeing and identity in their forties — this time exploring a theme close to everything we do at Atelier V&A: how the spaces around us shape who we become.

Why we said yes

Design has always been our language for this idea. A room isn't just four walls — it's a nervous system regulator, a mirror, a quiet negotiation between who you were and who you're becoming. We talk about this with clients every day. This event is a chance to talk about it out loud, with an audience, and with two of the people who think about it most: us, Aisha Hillary-Morgan and Venetia Gu, in conversation with the fabulous Amanda Lim and Jasmin Dhillon.

What the evening holds

This isn't a wellness workshop. It's an occasion — one to get dressed up for, with bubbles, good food, and better company.

  • 6:30–7:00pm — Arrival, welcome drinks and grazing platters, and time to wander the showroom

  • 7:00–7:45pm — The live recording: a moderated conversation on the spaces, objects, and aesthetics that shape a life well-designed

  • 7:45–8:00pm — Audience Q&A, off the record

The conversation moves through five threads: how our spaces affect the nervous system, the objects we keep close and why, designing a home for the woman you are now, the value of craft and slowness, and what it means to curate a life that feels beautiful.

Get involved

Tickets are limited, and this one is built for a room, not a stadium. If you want an evening among women who understand that looking good and feeling good are the same project — this is it.
