Nature, Form & the Art of Curated Corners

At Atelier V&A, we believe spaces are more than backdrops — they are living, breathing stories. Our collaboration with Mosscape at Scotts Square brings this belief to life in a way that feels natural, sculptural and quietly transformative. And from October 10, we can’t wait to share it with you.

Why Nature Belongs in Design

The connection between people and nature, what’s often called biophilia, is more than just a design trend. Research has shown that introducing greenery into our spaces reduces stress, supports focus, and enhances creativity. But beyond the science, nature makes us feel grounded, happy. It slows us down. It reminds us of cycles, patience and care.

This is why plants and sculptural design sit so well together: they both invite pause. They both hold memory. And they both transform a corner into a place of connection.

Design and greenery are not just extras — they are connectors. They bring people closer to place, to each other and to themselves.

The Story of Vanda

When we founded Atelier V&A, the Vanda orchid became our muse. Sculptural, versatile and deeply rooted in Asia while admired around the world, it reflects our ethos perfectly. The Vanda is an representation of resilience and creativity — a reminder that design should be as adaptive and expressive as it is beautiful.

This resonance carries through to our curated corner with Mosscape, where orchids and bonsais sit alongside our sculptural vessels and plinths. Together, they tell a story of form meeting life.

Every plant and every object has a story. When paired with intention, they elevate each other.

The Art of Curated Corners

One of the ideas we love sharing is how to create curated corners in your own home or workplace. A corner isn’t just “dead space”, it’s a moment and delightful opportunity waiting to be shaped.

A single bonsai on a plinth. A sculptural floral arrangement in a vessel. A bold orchid stem positioned where light hits just right. These are punctuation marks in a room, points that invite people to stop, take notice and perhaps remember something or start a conversation.

The curated corner we are creating with Mosscape does just this: it blends into its environment while adding another layer, just as great design should.

Curated corners don’t overwhelm — they enhance. They bring rhythm, balance and meaning into everyday spaces.

Why This Collaboration Matters

At its heart, this collaboration is about connection. Just as community gardens are more than plants — they are about people coming together — so too can interiors be more than function. With nature and design, we create spaces that feel alive, layered, and worth lingering in.

This is why Atelier V&A and Mosscape are such a natural fit. We share a belief in creating experiences that endure, that invite people to engage, and that remind us of the power of craft, care, and beauty in our daily lives.
